Project Overview
Completed the interior build-out of Lampert MD Plastic Surgery, delivering a state-of-the-art plastic surgery facility designed to support both clinical consultations and accredited outpatient surgical procedures. The project incorporated premium architectural finishes, advanced medical building systems, and specialized infrastructure required for a modern ambulatory surgery environment.
Scope of Work
Construction included complete interior demolition and build-out, new drywall partitions and ceilings, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, medical gas infrastructure, emergency power systems, surgical lighting, custom architectural millwork, premium flooring, wallcoverings, lighting and lighting controls, interior glazing, casework, patient recovery areas, procedure rooms, consultation suites, administrative offices, nurse stations, sterile processing areas, and all associated architectural and medical support systems.
Challenges
The project required careful coordination of long-lead procurement for the facility’s emergency backup generator, a critical component for maintaining life safety and operational continuity. In addition, construction and documentation were closely managed to successfully satisfy the stringent inspection and regulatory requirements necessary to obtain AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) approval for the ambulatory surgery center.
Our Approach
The Construction Management team coordinated closely with the owner, design consultants, medical equipment vendors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project. Early procurement planning, detailed trade coordination, and continuous quality control ensured critical building systems were installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with healthcare standards while maintaining the overall construction schedule.
